#5TezCollection, sspboyd

By sspboyd_5TezColl

This is my contribution to the #5TezCollection project on fxhash.

I selected these tokens based on 3 ideas:

1. I searched for tokens from the early days of Objkt, HEN and fxhash

2. I looked for tokens from some of my earliest collecting on fxhash

3. I looked for tokens from artists who's work I've admired and enjoyed on fxhash

The entire collection can be viewed on Gallery here.

I've added some additional context for a few of the pieces I selected:

"Dithered Gradients" checks a lot most boxes for me. It is the first project I bought when I became aware of Tezos and fxhash so there's some nostalgia. It is also by an artist, fauxjebus who's work I really like (and they're also Canadian ++). Lastly, I purchased this token from the WTBS wallet! Lucky all around to be able to include this piece.

"The Personal Ocean Waves" is a early project on fxhash. It dates back to Dec., 15, 2021. I appreciate the wave animation and multitude of elements working together in a grid.

Nate Nolting

The following two projects are from Nate Nolting, another artist I collected early on from fxhash.

Hic et Nunc

"Fragment of Memory 01" by Darley Cardoso is a piece I really like from HEN. It was originally displayed as part of the exhibition Technologies and Possibilities - Photo and Video Art, in Brasília / DF, in the fall of 2014.

Collaboration using TouchDesigner. Just beautiful work.

GridJoe, by Nick Fox-Gieg

Grid Joe is "a continuous cellular automata piece. This is the official SVG version, released 23 March 2021". I've been a fan of everything Nick's done for the last 5+ years. I believe he is also local to the Toronto area. Always inventive work and builds his own tools. ++
