One rode on a mule and the other walked, and they were accompanied by two Komondors (Hungarian dog breed). They sat down on the ground but did not talk. The shepherd's 12-year-old son also arrived. Barbarians is a Hungarian short novel by Zsigmond Móricz. It's a short and unsettling story about darkness of the human nature.
