The question of what constitutes generative art has been a subject of ongoing debate within the art community, again, as of late. As generative art receives its debut on the international stage like never before, it’s worth remembering what got us here and where we hope to go.

When I started this publication, I announced that it would be weekly-ish. It's definitely been "ish" for this latest instance. Life, as it does, got in the way. This issue is a departure in another way as well. I have previously highlighted a set of artists, and I will be doing that again in future. In this issue, however, I want to highlight the broader issue of under-represented artists on the fx(hash) platform and suggest some ideas for creating a more diverse community.
