Phaces

Faces + Phases = Phaces. A living artwork celebrating variety and community, with a healthy dose of delayed gratification.

Each Phace starts in black and white, a simple but fascinating look at the variety that can emerge from a few lines of code. It is a sober start to an exciting journey and a reminder that good things take time.

Each week, your Phace evolves. You’ll see the next evolution every Saturday for 12 weeks, providing moments for the collector community to come together to share and celebrate the latest Phaces – there will be some wild ones in there!

Each Phace has a name, generated from a list of 144 adjectives and a 144 names randomly selected from the US census. Other features hint at the exciting evolutions to come. You know that Nonchalant Erma with Palette = Electric and Colour Boost = Wild is going to be up for a party.

We won’t say much more, for risk of spoiling the surprises but we can’t wait to see your Phaces emerge and evolve over these coming weeks. Follow along for updates on Twitter, Insta and at https://www.phaust.art/.
