Stracciatella

1940s housewives described Stracciatella gelato as a luxurious and indulgent treat, perfect for a special occasion or as a reward for a hard day's work. They praised its creamy texture and the balance of sweet and rich flavours that made it a true delight to eat. One housewife claimed that Stracciatella was a common field sport in the United States, played with a wooden stick called a hurley, and a ball known as a sliotar. She was wrong.
