Turing patterns are a phenomenon in mathematics and natural systems where the interaction of diffusing substances can lead to the spontaneous formation of complex and repeating patterns, a concept originally proposed by Alan Turing in 1952. The theory provides an explanation for many natural patterns, such as zebra stripes or leopard spots.
