Sternenlicht

Restless, tautly-stretched triangles form overlapping circles; sparks of light leaking from the gaps between their attenuated edges. Radial spokes of glimmering starlight play over a subtly-textured background.

Interactivity:

Click the mouse to affect the passage of time; dragging near the edge of the piece brings rapid change; the centre affords more subtlety.

Press 's' in full-screen mode to save an image of the canvas.

Features affecting rarity:

Distortion: Variable levels of distortion, which affects the spikiness of the triangles and light rays. Low and high distortion are more rare.

Offset average: To add variability to potential mints, this reflects the distance between the central dark portion and the lighter portion.

Other features:

Palette: Ten carefully-tuned colour schemes of equal likelihood, with hue, brightness and saturation chosen to showcase the movement and range of the piece whilst maintaining detail.

Background: The two types of background are of equal probability.
