Sandcastle

Jimi Hendrix is one of the great guitarists in music. As a Generative Artist, he pioneered with electronics, overdriven amplifiers, high volume, gain, he was instrumental in popularizing the previously undesirable sounds caused by guitar amplifier feedback, and used tone-altering effects, like distortion, wah-wah, Uni-Vibe, and stereophonic phasing.
Jimi Hendrix wrote ‘Castles made of Sand’ in 1967. Sandcastles are destined to end and stand for the temporary nature of existence, of time slipping away. Each verse in the song contains universal disappointments... All is not lost, as in the last verse a suicidal girl who is "crippled for life," moving her wheelchair to the shore, seems saved by optimistic epiphany.
This song inspired me to create on 12 watery inkswabs, 12 phantasmagoric castles, in 2nd and 3rd dimensions, zooming out to the sky with 12 Zodiacs, making 1728pc. In Cabalistics (1+7+2+8= 18 / 7+2 = IX / 1 + (7+2=9) 7 (2+8=0) ) this generates into September 18th 1970, the day Hendrix died.
