Pixel Siege #21
by Rasterly
Project
This is the first iteration of a chess inspired series. Each piece was designed in a custom pixel editing tool and painted on a 16x16 chess board using p5.js. I plan to continue adding animations, color themes, autonomous battles and more...but each iteration will only be released if the previous iteration sells out.
Current iteration:
- Each design features 2-4 colors. (2 common, 3 uncommon, 4 rare)
- Pieces are randomly placed on the board using an algorithm designed to make the position feel like a real chess position. The algorithm is pretty basic. Kings can be adjacent to other kings, and other impossible chess positions can be generated.
- More pieces are more rare.
- There is a 1% chance of a "unicorn" color.
Future iteration ideas:
- Autonomous battles.
- Improved placement algorithm.
- More colors/themes.
- Improved animations.
- Variable board sizes.
- Board design iterations such as a coordinate system.
- More. Ping me on Twitter if you have ideas @RasterlyNFT
