what you see is not a color sorting algorithm.
it's a simulation of what happens when a certain type of x gets favored over the other in a given period of time.

the y-axis represents social hierarchy. the x-axis represents time.
at first, elements of type a and b get randomly distributed ofer the y-axis by equal chance.
for each step on the x-axis, a biased coin gets flipped for every element.
heads: one up in the hierarchy. tails: one down in the hierarchy.
