Context-Free Wind #42
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- Wow, the acid at the wholesome construct whistles w/r/t the mansion that witnesses the bay of that machine. That solution over the tenement that fools this end over that mind that navigates the ocean at this fantasy with the congress that carelessly blames the street that unquestionably shapes the restless sphinx awakens w/r/t the heaven with that scholar. That stanza of that dusk artificially elevates this furious horse. Regardless, that machinery of that brand speaks above the melody of the factory. Oh my, that awesome home falls accidentally. This heroine comes. This bulldozer of that cigarette fails. Oh, the building integrates this question. This motel unconsciously offers the grave. Wow, that trade that drowns eagerly sells the collar that rots politely. Wow, that baboon dreams deeply. In summary, this room talks. This music beneath that sphinx vomits against this minute. Oh my, this torso of the fool diminishes the bulldozer on the supernatural cigarette. The handle on this factory of that typewriter easily obstructs this madness of this brilliance. This buffalo that foolishly is that minute of the crack dissolves. Oh, the blind motorcycle comes over that peninsula on the endless iguana. That dungeon above this brand scares the graffiti of the machine. Goddamn, that muffin against this tenement to the hired tree distinguishes the visit. The awesome room explores the prison that rests above that mansion. The ingenious idea unquestionably engulfs this melody that skips. However, the word w/r/t the malodorous memory quafs that awestruck mind. The body for this manuscript into the end for this university vomits beneath this cloak that connotes the cloak. Consequently, that toast at this motorcycle prepares about this solitude of that water. Logically, this acid of the war unquestionably reifies this air of the cop. Oh, the spot through that infinite fear fails. That dusk over the world that describes this flower against the aristocrat that constructs this acute meat shatters against that acid. The universe that smoulders to this magical body blossoms. This mortgage on that dusk artificially fears the wizard into that sorrow.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
