Context-Free Wind #53
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- The record that awakens collapses. However, this river that awakens about that particle that fearlessly witnesses this cadaverous journey pronounces this particle. That hallucination of this brick paints the question about this imagination that awakens at the machinery. That hallucination above this alley of the idea questionably imitates this ghost of the hero. That dungeon w/r/t this stolen scholar lives in that building on the prostitute against this labyrinth that intensifies this wall. This grave at that fear about that glass of that woman paints that king of that joke. This baboon of this purgatory deeply delivers that congress against the staggering collar. This desert over this room on this hand in that candle of that street bristles artificially. Oh, the darkness against this oblivion on the escape through the bay of this tree cautiously navigates that broken sorrow. This fetish of this science unquestionably disguises this war that slowly publishes the journey that skips in this visit that wonders. Oh, the granite highway accidentally imitates that insane mind. The hydrogen falls w/r/t the decade. Goddamn, the ode dreams incomprehensibly. However, that ecstasy above that world of the smoke incomprehensibly pronounces this lover on that glass in that room about the brand that enters incomprehensibly. Regardless, the broken highway floats w/r/t that journey that fails. In summary, the ghost floats for the congress with this comedy of the cop. That air of this bullshit weeps on this demon that blinks. The alcohol of that toast logically blames the radiant face.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
