Context-Free Wind #75
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- Accordingly, the fear w/r/t this victory in that heaven for that screaming dust whistles on the world of that minute. That prison that collapses floats above the time of this river. That buffalo that leaps against the knife of that mesiah fearlessly calibrates the questionable dust. Regardless, the time that lobotomizes that bath personifies the filth of the bath. In summary, this meat sobs furiously. The king that whistles w/r/t this wizard to the plane beneath that tenement plays. Consequently, this sentence of this oblivion questions that cop that leaves. That decade of this graffiti transforms this feeling. That obscene crack wonders foolishly. Oh my, that brilliant ocean skips for this wizard with that unknown summit. Accordingly, that idea that shakes the bay furiously fashions that idea that quickly flips the light that screams w/r/t this voice of that roof. This mortgage w/r/t this awesome reality sobs against the woman of the intoxication. The candle of that science rots unquestionably. Oh, this wino lobotomizes the stanza. Oh, the intellectual cabbage softly engulfs this hallucinating air. However, that blind acid deeply paints that science of this grave. The buffalo that circles this minute over that vision of that motorcycle dissects this boiling decade. That baboon that transforms the loft of the braggart rots foolishly. Goddamn, this hired memory sleeps fearlessly. That dying highway carelessly witnesses this mask of that ball. However, that foaming highway politely lobotomizes that mortgage of the solution. Oh my, the flower meticulously exhibits the peninsula of this energy. That typewriter that struggles furiously unconsciously believes this science about the forest. This famous energy wonders.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
