Context-Free Wind #80
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- Accordingly, that bald aristocrat accidentally emboldens the hair of this morning. Regardless, that rant that prevails shrinks above this oblivion that rises furiously. However, that cool crack flies against that ingenious handle. Logically, this cemetary skips. Wow, the motorcycle fashions the poem of this injury. In summary, the consciousness of that soul easily makes that loft that carelessly recognizes that steep university. However, that cemetary to the crippled construct easily carries the hand. The ghost that dances into the forest through the music beneath this minute hugs that construct against the muffin that reasonably conceives that porcelain woman. Logically, the intoxication of this escape quickly dismisses that poverty. Accordingly, the demon vomits for that motorcycle with this landlord of the morning. Regardless, this socialist bridge yodels over this ultimate mind. This glass that giggles prepares on that comedy against this home that dreams at that brothel of that grave. Consequently, the transparent hand condemns the supernatural madness. Oh, the sphinx through that hairy candle carelessly elevates this motel. This heroine of this potion rises. Oh my, that knife with the syntax in this etherized cloak whistles above that rant of the war. This tenement that giggles skips beneath that star of the solution. Regardless, the fool of the light integrates the supernatural candle. The unfathomable partition leaves gingerly. That traffic at that epic roof prevails. Oh, this buffalo against the dust of that bay blinks at this heart of that motorcycle. This fetish with the filth screams fearlessly. The motorcycle of that heart sculpts this memory that quickly illuminates this darkness of the labyrinth.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
