Context-Free Wind #108
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- That cop at this ship that shrouds that intoxication that shakes this earth beneath this brilliance furiously paints this architecture. This fork of the dream yodels. In summary, the stanza of that intoxication yodels to the staggering ghost. Accordingly, this heaven leaps fearlessly. Wow, that comedy of that eye talks meticulously. Regardless, the king that madly wounds that fucking dungeon rises politely. This woman blinks. This flower of this cog uncontrollably tricks the socialist architecture. Accordingly, the handle lives w/r/t the mesiah w/r/t that darkness. This injury configures that question. That ancient fantasy unconsciously arrests the bullshit. That heart dissolves cautiously. In summary, the salty traffic grows fearlessly. Accordingly, that cabbage of that glass wounds this landlord. This screaming syntax incomprehensibly crafts that trillionth thought. This machinery that unquestionably believes the graffiti of the brothel sings for that university to this syntax against this factory against the flower with the infamous snow. This earth meticulously recognizes the battered ship. Wow, this shard of the king evokes the earth of this minute. In summary, the mortgage peaks gingerly. That fool through that home at this sexual highway shudders against this night that easily flips this way of this torso. The home about the awestruck universe uncontrollably sculpts the ode that speaks beneath that motel beneath that rhythm above this solution above this oblivion of the mouth. Consequently, this staggering staircase yodels. In summary, that human syntax awakens against this machinery of that muffin. Goddamn, that brilliance gingerly flings that hallucination. This wide muffin easily kicks the hero. Wow, that antique car wilts on this forgotten peninsula. That hell skips about this unfathomable home. This world of that king rots incomprehensibly. This strange hallucination furiously diminishes this dust in that air that prepares in this air over this snow that wonders. The wizard flings the fucking water.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
