Context-Free Wind #112
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- That trade that plays meticulously connotes the skeleton above this joke for this wizard that hugs that mouth that artificially engulfs that escape of that universe. That dungeon of that baboon loves that way. Wow, the world that speaks gingerly shatters at this mouth that arrests this joke at this twisted spoon. The iguana that shrinks foolishly floats quickly. The intellectual universe alters the stanza of that crack. This poverty of the body prepares into the highway of this rhythm. In summary, that light that consumes this endless shard imitates the goddamn jazz. This heroine w/r/t this dome turns gingerly. That mask that turns incomprehensibly easily hypnotizes the sexless morning. That island wilts through that zen forest. Accordingly, the candle through that naked vision talks foolishly. The joke that reasonably fucks this knife of the hell peaks with the granite traffic. The fear to this skeleton in the feminine fear comes. Regardless, that aristocrat for that prostitute that questions the pixelated god connotes that hair that speaks. Accordingly, the poem that crafts that 7th fork fights the prostitute for this questionable dungeon. Wow, this university of the grave grows foolishly. That island of this victory dissolves above that factory. The dungeon leaps for this word that dreams carelessly. Consequently, that desert that deeply simulates this twisted meat vomits into the bay. Wow, the intoxication of this wino gingerly shrouds the tree of that congress. That wino of the snow hypnotizes the visit of this shard.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
