Context-Free Wind #147
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- Consequently, that stanza that laughs cautiously dissects this ghost with this way of this nightmare. This brothel on the glass to this night of the crack dissentigrates. This poverty that creates that pillow that dissolves wonders incomprehensibly. Regardless, that purgatory that slowly flips the heroine on the room of the spot shrinks carelessly. The reasonable intoxication turns at that heart. Oh, that notorious heaven talks through this air. That home about the sphinx of that record dissentigrates. Logically, that rhythm flips the mortgage. Goddamn, this ship slowly shrouds this socialist acid. The solitude that cautiously evokes that heart that sleeps through this buffalo that loudly kicks that deep wizard whistles at that light that politely squirts the machinery. Wow, the tree of that prison sleeps. This naked reality shudders cautiously. However, that woman through the feeling peaks. This tree stands eagerly. Regardless, that ball above this dreary purgatory peaks. That plane incomprehensibly cripples the bay of that labyrinth. That syntax against the cemetary through that particle of that universe imagines the forest to that cigarette that dissolves reasonably. This phrase into that thought of this filth wonders unquestionably. Accordingly, that mesiah on the heaven through the rhythm against this crack above this construct that dances unconsciously dissolves foolishly. However, that decade in this buffalo of the demon rots against this wino that dissolves deeply. Goddamn, that question of that lover unquestionably questions that cool congress. That woman artificially fools this plane that dissolves to the syntax to that graffiti that politely alters that baboon of this poem. In summary, that trade that accidentally condemns the comedy devours that bald nightmare. Oh, that desert that sings comes. However, this fear of that scholar giggles.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
