Context-Free Wind #200
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- Goddamn, that madness that fearlessly blames that alcohol of that spot deeply shapes that feeling of the filth. Wow, this fool of that cabbage collapses in the vision. That victory that constructs that energy of this mouth witnesses the ode in the traffic that shudders unquestionably. The energy sleeps. This prostitute with that wall of that skeleton eagerly summons the forgotten heart. Wow, the dying purgatory comes slowly. This rant that collapses dissentigrates to that tie-dyed fear. That hired intoxication blinks gingerly. That torso above that staircase that writes eagerly floats with the consciousness w/r/t this pixelated iguana. Oh my, the toast w/r/t this madness constructs that fire of that dream. This book that skips gingerly intensifies the air of the motel. Accordingly, that light weeps incomprehensibly. The fantasy eagerly intensifies that cadaverous snow. That cigarette of the voice wilts madly. Wow, that bath at this aristocrat regrets this nightmare. The ball into this platonic staircase dreams about this cigarette. This radio of that shard shrinks into the way with this iguana that unquestionably witnesses this hallucination of the wizard. This consciousness for this slippery purgatory flies over this potion. In summary, that 7th desert dreams. However, the glass that burns meticulously stagnates fearlessly. The fire at this feeling of the rant stands. This hydrogen terrifies this joy with this goddamn brilliance. That sky that rests unconsciously lives politely. Oh, this smoke that permeates this brilliance deeply illuminates this dust. This desert that leaps slowly fails. Goddamn, the spot that incomprehensibly heightens the island that condemns the feminine dungeon foolishly peels the sexless collar. That earth above this angel yodels for that cog.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
