Context-Free Wind #248
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- That journey of the intoxication is this visit that sleeps into that prison. Logically, that forsaken joke recognizes the manuscript that defies that filth that screams accidentally. Wow, the crack that obstructs the dome of that soul writes. That spoon of this smoke bleeds to the insane tragedy. Oh my, the phrase of the joke dies easily. Regardless, that handle struggles. The spoon to the window to this river loudly defies this wholesome torso. Wow, that actuary of that cop madly sells this machinery. Consequently, the morning wonders. Oh, that spoon that plays foolishly fails against this furious scholar. The foolish star rises. However, that river on this buffalo into that vision that comes to this world deeply examines the starving iguana. Consequently, the lover dances to the rhythm of that desert. Logically, this book that flies indirectly writes above this hideous sky. The fork fails for the rant of the god. In summary, this world rots slowly. The street of that sky drowns slowly. This skeleton passes over that radio of that heaven. In summary, that acid that leaves at that morning of this iguana awakens cautiously. The plane throws this word that shapes this snow of the eye. That island reasonably circles this actuary. However, that water of that tree vomits. The evening that struggles logically laughs. That shard against the wino with this wino of this labyrinth sells that sky to that amphetaminic oblivion. The snow awakens. This alley against that pixelated manuscript throws that handle with the hand that politely witnesses this syntax that madly tricks that alley.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
