test_pattern3 (game of life) #24
by Echevarian
Project
This is an experiment with combining the Hydra video synthesizer with John Conway's Game of Life and Aebrer's Entropy Locking algorithm. It is intended to be truly long form, the ideal display method would be a very high resolution screen running for a very long period.
The polygonal wipe movement, the color shifting, and the general theme of the piece are intended to reward patience. That may be a hard sell, but it's something I love about generative art.
Other influence's are Nicthib's early work during the beta such as 56 Modes, and Memo Akten's PixlFlippr work. I am sharing a percentage of all profits with Aebrer as the inventor of the entropy locking algorithm, and a share with Ojack, the inventor of hydra.
Royalties are split equally between the initial minter, myself, aebrer, and Hydra.
