I surrender to the moment, to the security check. My luggage is what I take with me on my travels. Life is a pilgrimage. It's an endless journey from birth to grave. I bring the memories, the fading, convoluted memories, refractions, reflections, emotions, and tremulous doubts and anxiety.

Security screening at an airport is a necessary but cold and impersonal experience. I surrender my luggage and myself to the scrutiny of a stranger who knows nothing about me and cares even less. They are focused on following the rules and ensuring the safety of others and not on passing judgment on the contents of my life. In the face of their anonymity, I can't help but feel desolate and secluded.

The chaos of the world around me feels more pronounced in this moment of stillness, and I can't help but feel a sense of anxiety and doubt.
