When we sink into sleep we let go of all our lives, responsibilities, joys and sorrows at the bedside. It seems that escaping from reality and not thinking about anything for at least a few hours is a real salvation for us. Although we seldom think about the fact that when we fall asleep we give ourselves over completely to chance. When we switch off our consciousness and body we become completely defenseless, both from the outside world and from our own thoughts. When a happy person puts his head on the pillow at night and closes his eyes, that's one thing. But what if you or I or whoever doesn't just want to give your body and mind a rest? What if we are unhappy and scared of life? The mind is awake, an endless stream of thoughts brewing in our heads, even if we don't realize it. We are locked in all our anxieties and worries for five or eight hours of sleep. What will we dream?
