Into Waves #6
Project
A study into waves, noise, grids, and blur, and what happens when they meet each other on the GPU. I've called it "Into Waves" because I am, and this is where it should take you!
Made by passing the results of one GLSL shader into a second, using three.js. The mint preview will be rendered in a 1:1 aspect ratio, but the artwork is intended to be explored in all possible layouts.
The latent space of possible forms is quite wide, I look forward to witnessing your explorations. Fullscreen it, sit back, and enjoy the trip.
Controls
Press [f] to toggle fullscreen.
Press [spacebar] to toggle play/pause.
When paused, press the keys [1] through [4] to multiply the resolution (1x-4x).
Then (also only when paused) press [p] to create a hi-res PNG.
Testing
Tested in Chrome on Apple silicon and on windows with an Intel chip.
(Depending on the initial screen dimensions, at higher resolutions the browser's maximum texture size max be exceeded. If this happens, the rendered image will be capped and may not resemble what you see in the browser.)
