Totalistic Cellular Automata #368

Totalistic Cellular Automata is a work celebrating my appreciation and love for 1D Cellular Automata. In this piece there are many different rules and rulesets which dictate how the cells will behave. Totalistic cellular automata is a type of cellular automata where the total or average values of cells in a neighborhood are what the rules depend on.

There are 4 dimension sizes, 4 possible states, 52 possible rulesets, and 55 colorways.

This generator was inspired by the works and discoveries of Stephen Wolfram and “RGB Elementary Cellular Automata” by Ciphrd which will always have a special place in my heart.
