Océans #18

This project is based on handmade sketches. It aims at reproducing hatching techniques.

The number, the size, the rotation and the placement of the squares are decided according to a noise variable. The squares may also be outlined.

The bigger the division is, the smaller the shapes are.

Each ocean of shapes is sketched on a sheet of paper, which is then coloured with sponge or roller paint. This paper is finally placed in the centre of the canvas but not necessarily aligned vertically.

Main features of this project include:

• Background: Sponge or Roller painting,
• Division: 20x20, 30x30 or 60x60,
• Packing: Mini, Normal or Maxi,
• Rotation: rotating,
• Outline: True or False,
• Drawing Technique: Doted, Hatching or Crosshatching.
