Collaborative Art Builds Community - #ProjectAi x #CLAi

By Robert Matheson

Collaborative art involves multiple artists working together to create a shared work of art. This approach to art-making not only leads to more innovative and unique pieces, but it also plays an important role in building stronger communities. By bringing artists together from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, collaborative art fosters a sense of shared purpose and provides an opportunity for artists to support each other, challenge each other, and grow as artists.

Measure of a Life

By Wanda Oliver (original)

The February addition of my six months long sales and marketing experiment is open for minting. It will be reserved, free of charge, for previous collectors of my work for the next week. Unsold editions will then be offered for sale during the following week. At the end of that week, any unsold editions will be burned. This is the backstory of the project.

The way I see it

By 0xd4...B_orsi

Abstract art is an art form that uses shapes, lines, and forms with no direct reference to the physical world. It is a visual language that communicates emotion, feeling, and energy without relying on representational or realistic imagery. Abstract art encourages freedom from the constraints of conventional forms and offers a creative outlet for the artist to express themselves.

Generative Art and Me: A Teacher's Journey with fxhash

By emwdx

I've spent the past year and a half learning about generative art by doing it myself. I've published a number of my own generative art projects on fxhash. I'm more convinced than ever that more teachers should be using generative art as a learning tool for themselves and their students. On top of this, fxhash is the perfect place for students to showcase their work and get experience in the blockchain world. Here's my story of getting into generative art, and my pitch for why fxhash should be in the portfolio of web3 learning platforms for young creatives.

Marketplace Analysis V2

By Extracurricular Activities

This article plots secondary sales in USD for the top 25 projects on fxhash. For projects with more than 6 months of secondary sales, a trendline is fit to the secondary sale data for the last 6 months. The data to produce these graphs was updated on the day this article was published. Importantly, none of this constitutes financial advice, I am just sharing my findings in the hope that some will find it useful.

A log book of Genuary 2023 explorations

By greweb

January is the month where generative artists reunite around the event "Genuary", a daily opportunity to create new artworks following a prompt. This is similar to Inktober with prompts more adapted to generative art (less figurative). I took this moment to push forward, using plotters and 3D printers, ideas that I never explored before on almost each of these prompt. Here is my log book highlighting them.

glimmers of gratitude

By Elisabeth Sweet

On October 4, 2022, I began a poetic discipline which I dubbed glimmers of gratitude. The plan was to write, visualize, and mint a haiku on-chain, on Tezos via 8scribo everyday for 31 days. I was motivated by the sheer wonder at where I was on October 4, 2022 compared to where I had been on October 4, 2021. That day in 2021, I started self-publishing my poetry, and I didn’t know any poets. Three hundred sixty-five days later, I was interviewing an internationally acclaimed conceptual poet and I worked closely with some of the most daring and ambitious poets of our time. Gratitude washed over me. As an ode to gratitude and good fortune, I vowed to write and visualize 17 syllables for 31 days. During those 31 days, life challenged my grip on gratitude. Sudden death and injury made me search for gratitude like god in a hurricane. I can’t say if I found god, but I can say that I made it through the storm. And I have haikus minted on-chain as proof.

How I made generative dancers with code, written in verse

By edcreativecoder

Inspired by the many works using image composition, I wanted to take it a step further by using code to mimic drawing techniques. The biggest challenge was to create realistic muscles and hands. The solution was to stylize the illustrations and limit the possible poses. It was hard to ensure all parts were connected smoothly and without conflict. To create a hand-drawn look, I made the outline wiggle with random noise. As I continued to develop my project, I added more and more details, drawing inspiration from tutorials on how to show specific body parts in different styles. Creating these illustrations through code was a thrilling and rewarding experience. Please enjoy my little poem describing the process. Written with the help of Chad G. Pati.

A Taste of Genuary

By Wanda Oliver (original)

I participated in Genuary, the month-long daily genArt challenge, for the first time this year. Totally intimidated by the company I was keeping, I had no expectation that I would be able to keep up the pace or find inspiration for every prompt, but lo and behold, I did it. I created a work for each day of January and managed to honor each prompt, though many of the pieces might truthfully be better labelled short form rather than long form generative art. It was a month of hard work, lots of research and study, lots of learning, and lots of fun.

Why was there only 1 woman in the top 50 highest selling Tezos artists for 2022? If you look at the all time sales for artists on fxhash, there are only 2 women on the list of 50 projects; Iskra Velitchkova and Melissa Wiederrecht. This is an OUTRAGE! The mowna OUTRAGEOUS!
