"Subtraction" is a new generative music NFT that allows users to co-create a continuous music composition by setting parameters for each chord, such as the number of notes, duration, and frequency range. Each unique chord generated adds to the previous ones, forming an evolving piece of music, which can be played back in full on a website that collects metadata of the chords recorded on the blockchain. The chords, each owned by different users, can be traded on the secondary market while remaining part of the full composition. The project highlights blockchain's potential for collaborative artistic processes, turning minters into co-composers.
