Seeing and being seen on bike
Through many years we are at the door of the bike revolution. If I would like to be pathetic then I would say that town and the city roads are empty during the nights but as bikers we fill the ‘risk factor bag’ fully. To make the night ride safer and more comfortable is a first step for everyone and especially for people who haven't ridden a bike at night in the dark. Nevertheless seeing and being seen is not important only for the cyclists, it is important for all the participants in the traffic. Bicycles were invented in 1817 and the bulbs followed the street light techniques so far. Now we have several ways to be more noticeable on the roads and not to be unseen in traffic to avoid any troubles there. I try to unlock some of my trilemmas about bike lighting systems. I would like to analyze and represent the amount of energy that we are using for bike lighting, the place where we are mounting it and the intensity of the light source itself.
