Context-Free Wind #188
by Ross Goodwin
Project
Context-Free Wind is a poetry generator and visualizer created by Ross Goodwin (https://rossgoodwin.com) in vanilla JavaScript without the use of any framework or external libraries, excluding code required by fxhash. The generator uses a custom context-free grammar algorithm and word lists assembled by the creator to produce (...admittedly, fairly strange...) sentences.
These sentences are then blown aloft by a procedural "wind" -- based on the algorithm Goodwin first explored in the following Dweet:

ABOUT THE CREATOR
Ross Goodwin is an artist, creative technologist, and former White House ghostwriter. He employs machine learning, natural language processing, and other computational tools to realize new forms and interfaces for written language. From word.camera, a camera that expressively narrates its photographs in real time using artificial neural networks, to SUNSPRING (with Oscar Sharp, starring Thomas Middleditch), the world's first film created from an AI-written screenplay; from making London’s Trafalgar Square lions roar poetry (“Please Feed The Lions” with Es Devlin), to writing a novel with a car (1 the Road), Goodwin’s projects and collaborations have earned international attention. Winner of the 2018 IDFA DocLab Award for Digital Storytelling as well as Columbia University's Digital Dozen Breakthroughs in Storytelling Award for 2019, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from MIT in 2009, and his graduate degree from NYU ITP in May 2016.

- In summary, the grave that sings stagnates beneath the platonic construct. This grave sleeps artificially. However, this ball questionably organizes the notorious mansion. Oh, this cop artificially configures the end that turns. That peninsula dreams accidentally. That face of that universe publishes that amphetaminic graffiti. Oh, this tenement with this deep bullshit conceives this earth of the joy. Logically, this way over this glass at the rotting potion wonders meticulously. This room that weeps unconsciously blossoms. This human injury leaps at the minute of that cabbage. Logically, that hideous prison sings with this mask that turns deeply. This night of this king enters in this flowing fetish. That factory w/r/t the night that talks about the hallucinating alley integrates that acid. This muffin of this prison wonders easily. Oh, that time of that sentence dissolves. Goddamn, the collar with that scholar carelessly consumes this angel of the stanza. This potion that bristles stands. Consequently, the sentence that shudders to this fearsome music regrets that traffic for this heart. Wow, this staircase through that factory dies uncontrollably. This desert that wonders burns quickly. That slippery handle peels this forest of that memory. However, the sentence above the car of this fork grows. The granite night weeps. That light that meticulously pulls that home of the tree wonders about that hallucination that bleeds. The crack for that fantasy rises above this minute. The wino w/r/t the hallucinating voice configures that potion that artificially consumes this buffalo. This roof of the minute accidentally offers this blazing highway. Consequently, that screaming landlord flies w/r/t that bad prostitute.1 of 254 indexed NFTs · 0%
